Coco Inspired Disneybounds // Ellie J and Beth F
Hello, Lovelies,
I have always been interested in Disneybounding if you have never heard of it before it was created by Disney fans who want to incorporate a Disney character into an everyday outfit. It partly grew to popularity due to the creation of Dapper Day, a day where Disney fans dress in vintage style disneybounds. So when I saw Coco (which was incredible) I knew I wanted to do some disneybounds inspired by the characters.
I decide to do the Miguel disneybound, and I tried to be a bit creative with the disneybound as I found his outfit itself would have been very easy to recreate as it was jeans, a t-shirt, and a hoodie style jacket. (Last Minute Halloween Costume?) So I decided to try and just incorporate the color scheme rather than just wearing the same thing as Miguel. I decided to wear my Disney denim jacket due to its red details and it also has the same denim wash as the jeans Miguel wears in the film, I wish I had had a Coco pin to wear on my jacket but sadly I do not. I then paired this with a black and white stripey top, grey jeans, and grey shoes, the reason why I wore grey jeans and shoes was to represent when Miguel is in the land of the dead. I wish I could have incorporated some coco details like an aforementioned pin or maybe the new bag from the Disney Store UK.
My lovely friend Beth thought that she would share an outfit inspired by Dante the dog due to her love for his silly quirks in the film and the fact that the color palette matched her style the best. Beth wore simple black leggings and a black top to represent Dantes fur, however, she paired this with a purple flower crown to represent Dantes colorful tongue. Make sure to go follow beth on Instagram @beth_fairhurst!
I would have loved to have created more looks for this post but I had obvious time constraints due to Sixth Form college but hopefully, in future posts, I can plan a bit more in advance. Anyway enough about that, I hoped you all enjoyed this blog post and I would love to see your disneybounds- Coco and Non-Coco! Don't forget to head over to my Instagram @PrincesssEllie_ to vote in the poll for what next weeks blog post will be.
Sending Love,
Ellie Xx
Question of the post: Which Disney character do you think has the best style or a similar style to your own? And do you want to disneybound as them?
Answer: I love vintage fashion myself, anything from the 1920s-1980s, so I would really like to do some Princess disneybounds in the future but the character I want to definitely disneybound as in the future is Miss Bianca from the Rescuers.
